You want more information on pushing the email into Gmail or more information in general? For Gmail, you can setup your Gmail account in Thunderbird in the very last paragraph instead of in the Zimbra server that I used as an example. It really doesn't matter what type of IMAP server, as long as it's IMAP. To setup Thunderbird with Gmail, you have to enable it in your Gmail account settings and then the instructions for setting up the server in Thunderbird can be found here: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77662

Ana,

The only easy way I can think of is to push the mail up to a Gmail account or some other free IMAP service and then pull it back down to Zimbra Desktop... Not the most elegant but it wouldn't take terribly long.

Hi thanks for the tutorial. I have a question that might be silly, but I haven't figured it out yet: how can import mail from thunderbird to zimbra desktop? I've already installed the MboxImport enhanced. suggestions?

thanks
