Microsoft Finally Ditches Windows 3.x
by Wyatt WalterMicrosoft has finally stopped selling licenses for Windows 3.x as of November 1, 2008. Michael Sinz once said that programming is like sex: one mistake and you have to support it for the rest of your life. Well, at least until it’s 18. Which.. oddly enough, that’s exactly how old Windows 3.x would be this year. Of course, Microsoft stopped actually supporting it years ago, but it still exists in embedded machines and on some older computers whose owners refuse to upgrade.
